Questions at the counter
The things people ask while we load their reels. If your question is not here, the counter answers faster than any form.
Do you develop color film?
Yes, C-41 in 35mm and 120, hand-processed on the bench twice a week. Slide film goes out to a partner lab; ask at the counter for current turnaround.
Can I push my roll?
Yes, at no extra charge. Write the pushed speed on the canister or in the order notes, and we will match it. Pushed film gets scanned with an adjusted curve.
What scans do I get?
A 3000 DPI 16-bit TIFF per frame plus small JPEG proofs. Larger scans of selected frames can be pulled on request.
Do you sell film?
The film wall keeps four to six emulsions in stock, including our house stocks. Slate Pan 50 sells out fastest; call ahead.
Is the darkroom rentable?
Not yet. Workshops use the benches in the evening, and we are working on a members-night plan for 2027.
How should I store negatives?
Archival poly sleeves, stored upright in a cool dry drawer. We sell sleeves at the counter and will file your first sheet for free.
